Today in the mail I received another "sample" as a perk for being a member of the Foodbuzz blog community. This sample came in the form of a full size package of the original Mother's Circus Animal cookies. We're talking a 14 oz. sample. Very generous.
A notice was enclosed explaining that Kellogg purchased the Mother's brand (which was a favorite in our house) and they have reintroduced these delightful little pink and white frosted animal cookies for all to enjoy again. Though these are certainly tasty, we hope that Kellogg will also start producing some of Mother's other selections such as the English Tea Cookie or The Husband's favorite, the peanut butter Gaucho. Oh, and another thing about today; it's my anniversary. It's been one year to the day that I started this food blog. What fun it has been! I have really learned so much, including the importance of planning ahead while cooking, thinking about presentation of food, learning about staging and lighting when photographing food and writing with clarity. I have also enjoyed immensely meeting very supportive and interesting people online and being utterly amazed at some of the beautiful food blogs being posted on a daily basis.
To my loyal and supportive readers, I thank you and I hope to continue to provide you with entries of interest and hopefully sometimes, entertainment. I also want to give a special thank you to The Husband who is endlessly supportive in this endeavor of mine in so many ways.

I heard that the cookie factory closed, so I raced out and bought a bag of these. So happy that they're still going to be around. Every so often, I crave them. Don't ask me why, but I swear the pink ones taste the best! Happy Blogoverary!
