Those of you who are regular readers of my food blog have probably noticed the information at the right of my blog from both Foodbuzz and Foodie Blogroll. Both of these food blog communities I joined many months ago have really encouraged me to continue this little venture of mine.Foodie Blogroll gives me the opportunity to read random fellow food bloggers work on a daily basis which is always enjoyable and inspiring. They currently have 3862 members and it grows each day. Foodbuzz also has connects me to many interesting blogs amongst it's 8129 members. Both blog communities have numerous cooking contests and other opportunities for their members.
I mention this because when I got home from a grueling Friday at the office, I found a box on our front porch from Foodbuzz and in it contained a 9 oz. sample package of Buitoni Wild Mushroom Agnolotti pasta all packed in ice and ready to prepare. This is the second time I have received a most generous food sample just for being a member of Foodbuzz. Not to mention the 3 monetary payments I have received for having their info on my blog (unfortunately, as The Husband points out, it's going to be a long time before I can quit my day job at this present pay scale!)
Well as I said, it was a grueling Friday so I mixed my perfect Friday night martini, threw the pasta in boiling water for 5 minutes, drained it, put about 3 Tbsp of cream and 1 Tbsp of butter in the pan to reduce, added 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, poured the sauce over the pasta and sprinkled with some fresh basil and served with a piece of toasted French bread.

The pasta was absolutely wonderful with an earthy mushroom flavor accented with the green grassy herbal flavor of the basil. It was a lovely, effortless Friday night dinner. Thanks so much Foodbuzz and Buitoni!
